The Oklahoma City National Memorial remembers April 19, 1995, when 168 people were killed in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The memorial includes one empty chair for each person killed, as well as part of the fence that stood as a makeshift memorial in the years following the bombing. The portion of fence is covered with letters, photos, flowers and more left by survivors and visitors. The museum contains artifacts and photographs of the disaster.
